Internet’s Psychological Effects: Part 5/6: November 12th 2016

“Why Johnny Can’t Put His Cell Phone Down,” a series of six “mini-retreat workshops” on the psychological effects of online, electronic, and social media, is being presented free of charge by the Office of Consecrated Life and the Office of Laity and Family Life of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, beginning Saturday March 19, 2016, in Liguori Hall at St. Gerard Majella Parish, 1969 Dougherty Ferry Rd., St. Louis Mo., 63122.

Presented by Sr. Marysia Weber, R.S.M., D.O., clinical psychiatrist and Director of the Office of Consecrated Life, each Saturday session runs from 8:30 a.m. to Noon and includes continental breakfast, morning prayer, Sr. Weber’s presentation, and small-group discussions.

The six sessions offered throughout the coming year include:

  • April 16, 2016: (Session II) “Wired for Connection—Part One”
  • June 4, 2016: (Session III) “Wired for Connection—Part Two”
  • September 17, 2016: (Session IV) “Plunging Deep into the Wires of the Net—Part One”
  • November 12, 2016: (Session V) “Plunging Deep into the Wires of the Net—Part Two”
  • December 3, 2016: (Session VI) “From the Billions of Images on the Internet Will the Face of Christ Emerge?”
